Pronounciation:  
All letters are pronounced except H
If the word ends in a consonent, the last syllable is emphasised, ie ciuDAD
If the word ends in a vowel or S or N, the penultimate syllable is emphasised, ie efecTIvo, TEjas.
HOWEVER if there is an accented vowel in the word, that syllable is emphasised, ie bateRÍA.

LL is pronounced as LLI, as in miLLIon.
Ñ is pronounced as NY in oNIon
GE or J are pronounced as KH , as in loCH
Z, CE or CI is pronounced as TH, as in THink
QU is pronounced as K, ie quiso is pronounced kiso not kwiso

S is always soft and hissy
R is rolled and RR double-rolled!
